In 2009, the farmers' market in Kingsport was given a new home in an old building and parking area of the former Kingsport Press area. Further work was done to the building to provide roll-up doors and other ammenities.
Around August 2012, two small quilt blocks were hung on the building. One the east side is a pattern I'm calling "corn cross" since no official name was given or found after searching. This quilt block can be seen from the nearby road intersection.
Per the 2/10/2013 Kingsport Times-News article, these two quilt blocks were painted by students at Cora Cox Academy.
