Originally, a Royally sponsored girl's school, this building has passed through several transformations in its history, and is now the provincial museum for Udon Thani province. It is located near the city centre, in the government precinct of the city. Above the entrance way is the year of dedication, given in the Buddhist calendar, 2468, which translates to 1925 of the Common Era. The name of the building is also given, this is Rachinuthit, which, I am told, has no meaning, simply a name.
