Fine church and grounds. Also had a fine bell tower parish hall and a few other small buildings. From research, the parish was first served by the St. Paul Railroad Chapel Car from New Orleans in October 1917. The first chapel was built before 1921, when it was named St. Anthony of Padua. Became a parish in 1958. Present church was built in 1969.
