On the original building, there is a simple cornerstone the reads "AD 1915" as well as another date above the collonade that reads "The George-V School ~ 1915".
Designed by Winnipeg school architect J. B. Mitchell, this three-storey, seven-classroom brick structure was built in 1915 by the contracting firm of Worswick Brothers. It opened in February 1916. (
