Praia do Farol (Lighthouse beach) is a small one, surrounded by two other beaches, directly on the mouth of Mira river. Because of that, it's not the safest one, with the water looking calm but presenting strong currents, being specially dangerous when the water is pulling to the open ocean.
Still, is very popular, perhaps because it's close to the village and has easy access. Besides it's visually beautiful. I love the passage from the previous beach, carved in the base of the cliffs, which becomes unusable when the tide is really high.
