In Swansea, along MA Route 136, is the Eskimo King ice cream store, where the motto is, "Where Ice Cream Rules."
The place is located on the west side of the road. It is at the south end, with a sign on top saying "Eskimo King." At the edge of the road is a fiberglass figure that is holding an ice cream cone like a torch toward the passing traffic.
At the service window, you are inundated with all the choices possible. For frozen desserts, you can have ice cream by the cone (plain or waffle), cup, sundae, or shake/frappe. You can choose from over 300 flavors of soft serve or yogurt, or 26 flavors of hard serve. Images of the signs showing the flavors are on the web site. Products come from Garelick Farms, Gifford's of Maine, and Only 8 Yogurt. Always looking for a good black raspberry, I ordered one with 'Jimmies' (chocolate sprinkles), and it was good! In addition, you could order an ice cream pie or cake. I did not see other options available such as hamburgers or hot dogs.
The place is open all year round. Parking is easily available. The web site states that there is a grassy area where you can eat your ice cream if you like. It did not look like there was indoor seating, but there is a roof overhang, just in case it started raining - which it did while I was there.
