On December 22, 1996 at 6:10 pm an Airborne Express DC-8 crashed into the side of the mountain while conducting tests after going through an overhaul and receiving major modifications. The plane was destroyed by the crash and fire and the 3 crewmwmbers and 3 technicians aboard were killed.

There is a regular cache (GCGHHX)DC-8 Crash Cache nearby and a memorial to the 6 people aboard (3 crew and 3 technicians).

My plan is to visit the site this year with my Father who lives nearby. I would appreciate any more detail and pictures of this waymark.
