Heritage Square is an abstract, kinetic sculpture that looks like a stack of ribbon candy. A pole that runs through all the ribbon layers has rotating disks attached to the pole. The sculpture is a little over 16 feet tall, about 4 feet square, sitting on a round base.
From the Smithsonain AIC Description:
An abstract sculpture consisting of multiple "S" figures, piled one on top of the other, resembling ribbon candy. A pole runs from the bottom to the top of the sculpture and through the middle of each disk located in the sculpture's "S" curves. The disks rotate when moved.
