This millstone is located along the far western edge of the cemetery near the Civil War Veterans Plot. There are no signs or markers associated with this stone. I believe this stone is in this out of the way location for storage, awaiting future use.
During the early days of the Erie Canal, Rochester was called the "Flour City" for it's many grist mills. The actual type and use of this particular stone is a best guess, based on local history.
