One of the ancient constellations. Before there was so much extra light in the sky, these could be observed more easily. Sailors depended upon the location of constellations to navigate.

Pegasus was the winged horse. The early Greeks had stories for all of the constellations that they knew. The largest star is Enif, the nose for Pegasus. Next is one near his eye; four stars down the neck; one at the chest; three stars on the left foreleg and a single one at the right knee. One more in the wing creates a horizontal V.
Not all constellations are visible at all times.
This constellation has represented speed, and been used historically as an advertising symbol.
