The subject of these windows are what else but trains. They are located just inside the entrance and are mounted in an interior wall. The artist was Robin Isaacson. The Orphan Train Complex tells the story of the children who rode the orphan trains. Between 1854 and 1929 an estimated 200,000 orphaned, abandoned, and homeless children were placed out during, what is known today as, the Orphan Train Movement. The children were transported to their new homes on trains which were eventually labeled “orphan trains.”
