This crafted sculpture of a pony and cart is made from forms of wire, intricately and time-consumingly woven into this great figure. The pony is blinkered, its reins and halter are defined and its ears are pricked. The cart is a rectangular design with the wheels woven with wire to show the spokes.
The upper path which rises above the canal path is the old horse road which took the horses pulling the canal boats above the Blisworth tunnel as the boats continued through.
