 Marker Text: With this marker the curtain of time
has been removed. The trails and mail routes
made across this county by traders,
prospectors, soldiers, homesteaders, stage-
coach drivers, surveyors, freighters, and
drovers with their campsites and settlements
are here cut in stone for all future generations
to see and understand.
Dedicated Jun 14, 1986 at the campsite
of the wagon train celebrating the 150th
anniversary of Texas' independence from
Mexico by the Nocona Sesquicentennial
Committee.
