With this marker the curtain of time has been removed. The trails and mail routes made across this county by traders, prospectors, soldiers, homesteaders, stage- coach drivers, surveyors, freighters, and drovers with their campsites and settlements are here cut in stone for all future generations to see and understand. Dedicated Jun 14, 1986 at the campsite of the wagon train celebrating the 150th anniversary of Texas' independence from Mexico by the Nocona Sesquicentennial Committee.
