The public outdoor pool "In den Sandgruben" is located in the northwest of Pratteln, it is a recreational area that also has a soccer field, a track and field athletics zone and a skatepark.
The pool has a 50 m lap pool with 6 lanes, a 25 m learner's pool, a pool with artificial current, a 30 m water slide, several baby pools and a pool with 1 and 3 meters diving platforms.
There is also a restaurant, a concession stand, a beach volleyball field, a streetball area, some table tennis and table soccer and a playground.
The whole area covers about 30,000 m2.
