Josefa Krivanek is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, located on S. Meridian, just north of the Will Rogers International Airport. This is a cemetery with about 400 burials.
This is a very nice double headstone made of pink granite. The sides are rough-cut and the polished face has lighter-colored panels with the wording. Etchings of flowers, and a cross are also shown. The surname KRIVANEK appears in a panel at the top with separate panels for Anton and Josefa. Anton (1838 - 1889) passed away at the age of 51, but his wife, Josefa lived to see her 100th birthday. The headstone also indicates that this is a Pioneer Family from 1889 and that they are buried in the first Oklahoma City cemetery. The inscriptions reads:
KRIVANEKAnton
1838 - 1889
Buried in First Oklahoma City Cemetery
His Wife
Josefa
1844 - 1944
Pioneer Family of 1889
*Josefa was born the year Samuel F.B. Morse transmitted the first telegraphic message.

* The opera Romeo and Juliet was produced in Paris the year Josefa was 23.
* She was 45 the year of the Oklahoma Land Run, and the year her husband passed away.
* Josefa was 63 the year Oklahoma became a State.
* She passed away during World War II, and was not here to learn of the bombing of Hiroshima.
