This marker marks the site of the Pearl S Buck house. Pearl S Buck spent most of the first 40 years of her life in China where her parents were missionaries. She moved back to the US where she began her writing career. This house is open for tours and has a gift shop. Pearls S Buck's grave is on the site as well. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained.
