St John's Church lies on the north eastern side of Hyde Park Crescent and is about 350 metres north of Hyde Park in London. The clock is located high-up on the front of the church.

The clock is located on the front face of St John's church above the large, stained glass window and just below the small bell tower.
The clock is fixed to a yellow brick wall. The face is round and black and may be made from slate but it is hard to tell from ground level. Around the outer edge, the minutes are marked as small, old circles. Within the minute marks the hours are marked, also in gold colour, and in traditional Roman numerals for a clock face. The hands, neither of which have tails, are also gold in colour. The only other feature of the clock is that the centre of the face, from immediately inside the inner edge of the hour marks is recessed. The hour and miute marks appear to be painted directly onto the face.
