Corona is a small town in southern Roberts County, in the northeast corner of South Dakota. It has a population of 109, as of the 2010 census, a 3% decrease from the 2000 census.
German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, and Scottish immigrants settled the area and later formed the town.
As with any small town, it struggles with population and activities for young people. The school closed a number of years ago, but the locals try to keep pace with the surrounding towns. Recently, the town built a new community center and a new fire hall.
The clock is located on the SW end of Main Street right next to the new fire hall. It is fairly new but with an early 20th century style.
