I was searching for some different types of waymarks to post and I thought I'd give this one a try. I found that Queens University had an Herbarium, so on a recent trip to Kingston, my kids and I decided to drop in and see what it was about unfortunately it was closed, but a kind lady gave us a great deal of information about it and the kids were intrigued and I was happy with the lesson. The lady told me that there were a couple older ladies that were in the Herbarium frequently and it was open a lot, but they aren't around as much, so she stated that it was open less often, but she gave me the contact info for the curator which I've included in my link.
I've given you the coordinates to the front door of the Queens Biosciences Complex. If you go through the door at the posted, take your first right, then your immediate right down the stairs, you'll be at the Analytical Services Unit, which houses the Herbarium in the back. In a bit of ironic humour, my son said to me "Dad, this looks like the lab from the Big Bang Theory". Hope you enjoy this one.
Cheers
