Two African American cemeteries stand side-by-side on the south side of 63rd Street, east of Coltrane. They are so similar and have no dividing fence, that it is difficult to differentiate them. The cemetery to the east is Pilgrim's Rest.
Miriam Young's headstone is a gray granite flat marker, with an engraving of praying hands and flowers in the lower left corner. The inscription reads:
