Freda Ward is buried at the Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery at the intersection of E. Wilshire and Hiwassee Roads. This is a cemetery is approximately 2100 burials.

Her headstone is a gray granite stone with a double inscription. Her husband, Ray passed away in 1964 at the age of 63. Their surname is engraved in large letters at the center top with their individual names and dates in panels at the lower left and right. Freda's inscription reads:

* Freda was born the year after Oklahoma became a state.
* She was nine years old the year the first Raggedy Ann doll was made.
* When Freda was twenty, Buddy, the first guide dog for the blind, began working.
* Shirley Temple appeared in her first movie, "Stand Up and Cheer" when Freda was 26.
* Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan disappeared over the Pacific Ocean the year Freda was 29.
* When Freda was 51, the Barbie doll first came on the market.
* Fred passed away the year Barack Obama became President.
