The final resting place of Mrs. Lester is at the north side of Rose Hill Burial Park, at the west end of section 4. Hers is a horizontal light grey marker laid in front of a large, white family monument with only the name "Lester."

1885: The Times reports that "A lady well-known in literary and scientific circles" has been cremated by the Cremation Society in Woking, Surrey. Jeannette C. Pickersgill is the first person to be officially cremated in the United Kingdom
1895: 3,000 Armenians are burned alive in Urfa by Ottoman troops
1905: Tsar Nicholas II of Russia agrees to create an elected assembly (the Duma)
1915: Italy joins the Allies after they declare war on Austria-Hungary
1925: The Tri-State Tornado, the deadliest in U.S. history, rampages through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, killing 695 people and injuring 2,027. It hits the towns of Murphysboro, Illinois; Gorham, Illinois; Ellington, Missouri; and Griffin, Indiana
1935: King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) of Siam abdicates the throne. He is succeeded by his 9-year-old-nephew Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII)
