This overlook gives a general view most of the eastern end of the Highland Scenic Byway and also the Willams River Valley within the Monongahela National Forest, which will flow into the Gauley River, Kanawha River, Ohio River, Mississippi River and Ultimately, the Gulf of Mexico.
As with all overlooks on the Highland Scenic Drive, there is a barrier-free shelter, as well as a vault restroom facility here.
The road to the overlook at this point is closed in the winter, commercial trucks are not permitted and the maximum speed on the parkway is 45 miles per hour.
