Phayao City, capital of the northern Thai province of the same name, is located on the pleasant eastern shore of the freshwater Lake Phayao. In this area of the Lake, near the city centre, are several public spaces and examples of public iconography.
One of these is a large fountain sitting a little into the Lake near the city centre. I did not see the fountain in operation, but there is a large sign adjacent (in gallery) advertising its existence. The fountain water jets are arrange in a long, rectangular pattern. I am sure that it is an attractive sight.
