This AZ Mark is part of the MAY benchmark series (PID #NY0903) and is located .8 miles south of the MAY Station Mark and Reference Marks. There is a link below to go to the Geocaching.com web page to read the datasheet on this AZ Mark.
The AZ Mark was found in poor condition and it appears as though someone has tried to pry the disk out of the boulder that it is imbedded in. The disk is curled upward on one side.
*NOTE* There is soon-to-be road construction to widen the road through Bly Mountain Pass and I hope that this AZ Mark as well as the other MAY series of benchmarks survive the construction phase.
Azimuth Condition: Bad
Your Directions: From the listed coordinates, you can pull off the road from Hwy 140 onto a dirt shoulder. The AZ Mark can be easily seen from the orange carbonite witness post that juts out from the ground, about 25 feet from the road.
