This benchmark is located along Idaho Hwy. 28 at junction with Idaho Hwy 22, about 18 miles west of Terreton, Idaho. The cap is about 40 feet northeast of Hwy. 28 centerline and about 50 feet northwest of Hwy. 22 centerline in ten inch cylindrical concrete monument. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1948 and was marked C57. South half of cap and monument are missing.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1992 4.9 KM (3.05 MI) WESTERLY ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 33 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN TERRETON, THENCE 24.9 KM (15.45 MI) NORTHWESTERLY ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 28 (SALMON HIGHWAY), 24.9 M (81.7 FT) SOUTHEAST OF TRIANGULATION STATION RENO 2, 14.5 M (47.6 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 22, 12.6 M (41.3 FT) NORTHEAST OF AND LEVEL WITH THE HIGHWAY CENTERLINE, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) SOUTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST, AND THE MONUMENT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. NOTE--THE MONUMENT HAS BEEN HIT AND THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE MONUMENT IS BROKEN OFF AND THE SOUTH HALF OF THE DISK IS MISSING, BUT IT IS SOLID IN PLACE.
