Built in 1944, the Dunstan School opened in 1945, teaching Grades 1-8, until closing in 1980. After a few years of vacancy, the school was purchased in 1985 and converted into a family restaurant.
Located near the junction of U.S. Route 1 and Pine Point Road (ME Rt.9), it is close to Old Orchard Beach, and local campgrounds, making it a popular stopping place for food and drink.
A large two-story red brick building, the interior retains much of the school style of decor, including blackboards and several interesting artifacts reflecting the school's past. The former classrooms are now dining areas, function rooms, a full buffet, and even a sports bar.
Overall, the school is very well preserved. (The food there is really good, too)
