The Chinese believe that having lions stationed at the main entrance to one's home or business will prevent anything bad from entering. I hope so.
These two lions flank the main entrance to what looks to be a property investment company in downtown, communist, Kunming, PICC. The two lions are life-sized, and unadorned stone. While they do project a certain strength out onto the street, they are not the most skilfully crafted lions I have seen, but here they are.
