The city of Chiang Mai is the major city of northern Thailand (at least according to the residents), and a major tourist attraction, plus all the usual facilities. This includes, of course, consumerism. One of the larger malls of the city "outside the moat" (there is a most surrounding the inner city, hence the nomenclature "inside/outside the most"), is this, the Kad Suan Kaew Mall.
This mall has it all. This includes, naturally, lions. In this case a family of lions hanging out at the main entrance to the mall. This are a rather proud looking group of Singha lions, Indian styled lions, adopted by the Buddhist culture of Thailand. This is a family group (a rather anthromorphic family) of lions.
Impressively crafted, and life-sized, but they are unadorned concrete, which makes them look a little plain. A coat of colour would have made all the difference.
Physical Address: Huai Kaeo Rd Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Thailand.
