RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1993 THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 1.85 KM (1.15 MI) EAST OF KEVIL, ON U.S. HIGHWAY 60 RIGHT-OF-WAY. OWNERSHIP--KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN KEVIL, GO SOUTH ON WALLACE AVENUE FOR 0.15 KM (0.10 MI) TO ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 60. TURN LEFT AND GO EAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 60 FOR 1.85 KM (1.15 MI) TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, ACROSS THE HIGHWAY FROM AN OFFICE BUILDING (JACKSON PURCHASE AGRICULTURAL CREDIT ASSOCIATION AND WADE FARM FINANCIAL SERVICES). THE STATION PROJECTS 4 CM ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND. LOCATED 50.0 M (164.0 FT) EAST OF THE EXTENDED CENTER OF RUTHERFORD ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 2532), 26.5 M (86.9 FT) EAST OF A SIGN POST (BALLARD COUNTY), 9.0 M (29.5 FT) NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 7.4 M (24.3 FT) WEST OF A CONCRETE RIGHT-OF-WAY POST, 4.3 M (14.1 FT) EAST-SOUTHEAST OF A POWER POLE, 3.7 M (12.1 FT) NORTH OF THE CENTER OF THE WEST END OF A CONCRETE PIPE UNDER A DRIVEWAY, 3.7 M (12.1 FT) WEST OF THE CENTER OF A GRAVELED DRIVEWAY AND 0.5 M (1.6 FT) WEST-NOPRTHWEST OF A METAL WITNESS POST.
