The Monk Coniston estate is owned by the National Trust after being given to them by Beatrix Potter on her passing. The grounds were developed by previous owner JG Marshall, who planned the gardens and woods.
To find this redwood tree, follow the new permissive path northwards through the recently revealed gardens, taking the path towards Tarn Hows. The tree is below the path at above coordinates.
