Near the centre of the northern Thai city and provincial capital of Chiang Rai, capital of the province of the same name, is a small, but busy market, and the importance of this market is indicated by the presence of a tower clock. This clock bears the insignia of both Rotary and the now (sadly) defunct Kodak company.
The clock has four faces, is white in colour, and is maybe four metres tall. The 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th hours are enumerated, but the intermediate hours are indicated merely by a dash. The clock has the cardinal virtue of functionality.
