In 1739, Carl von Linné moved into the Räntmästar House at, Slussplan 9, and practiced medicine there until 1742 when he became a professor at the University of Uppsala.
His practice included many of the upper class of Stockholm as clients. He was also appointed Medical doctor of the Admiralty and was a co-founder of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science.
A circular plaque showing Carl von Linné holding a flower is located on the front of the Räntmästar House. Above his image is inscribed his name. Near his right shoulder is his signature and below are the dates 1708 and 1778. The medallion is signed by the artist Asmund arle and dated 1978.
Below is a rectangular plaque with the Swedish inscription:
