This sign might not seem unusual in Amish country, but the location in an area where the suburban town is Pike Road is growing makes it seem out of place at first glance.

To the east of the capital city of Montgomery and a suburban town called Pike Road, one can find new growth in subdivisions and houses where farms were not that many years ago. This sign is on a road that starts with housing but continues on to farms.

Okfuski Trail comes off of Marler Road (Montgomery County Road 37) which is reached from exit 16 on I-85, east of the city of Montgomery. On the Marler Road end, there are several large houses, but as one drives along Okfuski Trail, one sees signs of horse raising and jumping activities. At a logical place to turn around, one finds this horse and buggy sign. After seeing that there were horses in the area, it made sense. One fun thing about the sign, though, is that just past it is a speed limit sign of 30 MPH. One figures that means the cars and not the buggys.
