Montgomery, Alabama, has a population of just over 200,000, yet it is the home to an excellent zoo that works hard to maintain its popularity with the public. The zoo is located south of the Northern Boulevard. The address is 2301 Coliseum Parkway, Montgomery, Alabama 36110. Hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm daily, though there are special events through the year where the hours may vary. For example, during the Christmas Lights Festival, the zoo is open until 9:30pm. Private groups can arrange rental of the facilities for special occasions. The cost of admittance to the zoo itself ranges from $10.00 for adults to $7.00 for children 3 - 12 years of age.

The zoo itself started with a few animals in a city park but moved to its current location in 1972. It covers 40 acres and has natural habitat exhibits of animals from around the world.

This machine is hand-operated and has four designs. The text reads Montgomery Zoo Montgomery AL. The four designs are of two snakes, an alligator and a turtle. The cost is 51 cents.
