This straight beach stretches for several kilometers along the west side of the Haenam Peninsula, and area known as "Land's End," the southernmost point on the Korean peninsula. In addition to being a fine beach, the sand is protected on the east by the "Windbreak Pine Forest" (해남 송호리 해송림). There are some 640 black pine trees growing here, some as old as 200 years.
At the south end of the beach is a small playground and sculpture with a campground beyond with a large parking area.
