The 115th Illinois Infantry Monument is located along a hiking trail at Snodgrass Hill, tour stop 8, at the Chickamauga National Battlefield. The plaque on the back of the monument is missing. Parking is at N 34 55.624 W 85 16.262

This marker is dedicated to the 115th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry and is in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. The commander of the 115th Illinois was Coronel Jesse H. Moore. This monument marks the 115th’s position on Sunday September 20, 1863, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Short Physical Description
7'6" x 4'4" x 4'6" high rock-faced monument consisting of rectangular granite block with an inscribed polished front on granite base. The tops of both pieces are beveled. Marks unit's position on Sept. 20, 1863, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
