The Victory of the Winds metal sculpture and fountain by Parisian artist Jean-Claude Farhi.
One of only two metal pieces ever sculpted by Farhi
(who is better known for the colorful acrylic columns he creates),
The Victory of the Winds was a gift from the Stephen H. Goldman charitable foundation to the museum in 2001.
“The sculpture brings the architecture of the OMA and the Loch Haven Park together,” notes Goldman, a Winter Park entrepreneur, composer and art enthusiast who is an Orlando Museum of Art trustee and United Arts board member. The sculpture is intellectually interesting and beautiful, a combination you don’t always see.”

"Artist: Born in Paris in 1940.
Ever since the age of sixteen, Jean-Claude felt the need to express his creativity. He has managed to use various types of material for his sculptures and oversize columns; Plexiglass and crude steel, while keeping his unique style characterized by variable geometric forms, colours often very bright and contrasted. The majority of his works are intended for European and American private collections."
