Die seit 1839 bestehende Kapelle in Welldorf wurde 1891/92 nach Plänen von Theodor Roß aus Köln umgebaut und erweitert. Nach den erheblichen Zerstörungen des 2. Weltkrieges wiederaufgebaut, wurde 1974/75 nach Plänen des Architekten Heinz Josef Werth die Nordwand abgebrochen und die Kirche erweitert. So hat die Kirche heute einen trapezförmigen Grundriss. Der Altar steht vor der schmalen Nordwand. Im Süden blieb die alte Kirche erhalten, der Turm steht im Südwesten.
The since 1839 in Welldorf existing chapel was rebuilt and expanded in 1891/92, designed by Theodor Roß from Cologne. After the considerable damages of the WW II reconstructed, the north wall was broken down in 1974/75 and the church enlarged based on the plans of the architect Heinz Josef Werth. So the Church has a trapezoidal shape today. The altar stands in front of the narrow north wall. To the south the old church was preserved, the tower is in the south west.
