CS: Pamatnik venovany zakladatelum telovychovne jednoty Sokol se naleza ve vychodni casti Husova parku ve stredoceske Ziline, nedaleko od mistni sokolovny.
Ceska obec sokolska, zkracene Sokol, byla zalozena 16.2.1862 Miroslavem Tyrsem a Jindrichem Fugnerem. Hlavnim poslanim Sokola jsou sportovni aktivity a telovychova. Avsak jiz od sveho zalozeni mel spolek vyrazny spolecensky, kulturni a v 19. stoleti i narodni vyznam. Cinnost Sokola pokracuje dodnes, ackoliv byla jednota zakazana nacisty a pote i komunisty. Dnes ma Sokol temer dve ste tisic clenu.
Pamatnik ma podobu velkeho balvanu usazeneho na kamenne podezdivce. Na balvanu je umistena kulata plaketa s plasticky provedenymi profily zakladatelu Sokola - Miroslava Tyrse a Jindricha Fugnera.

EN: Memorial of the Founders of Sokol stands in the eastern part of Husuv park in Zilina in central Bohemia. There is also Zilina Sokol center nearby.
Czech Association of Sokol was founded on 16th February 1862 by Miroslav Tyrs and Jindrich Fugner. The main function of Sokol are sport activities and physical education. But the association has also important role in social, cultural and national sphere. Although Sokol was forbidden during both Nazi and Communist era, its activity continues till now. Today Sokol has nearly 200,000 members.
The memorial is a boulder which stands on a stone plinth. On the boulder there is a round plaque with two faces of Miroslav Tyrs and Jindrich Fugner from side view.
