This sculpture is on a balcony near the gift shop at the San Jose Museum of Art. It can be accessed without paying the entrance fee to the Museum.
The sculpture is in two parts about a yard from each other. Each is a broken column with a large sphere in the center and the top part of the columns tilting slightly away from each other.
The 1993ceramic work is entitled "Entryway Columns". A Museum informs us that the work is by Dennis Gallagher and
"Born 1952, San Bruno, CA
Died 1993, San Francisco"
The sculpture was a gift from the artist's estate in honor of Peter Lipman.
