Born in 1793 in Inverness. Immigrated to Canada and after a brief stay in Nova Scotia set up shop as an inn keeper in London which had been selected as the site of the future capital of Upper Canada in 1793. It didn’t become the capital but Peter Mcgregor stuck around and died in nearby Scottsville in 1846.
The plaque is in Scottsville cemetery where you can also find his headstone.
