This Wind Turbine was the first wind turbine in any North American city centre and the first community owned wind power project in Ontario. Created by WindShare which itself was created by the Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative. The wind turbine is 91 meters tall and produces around 1000 MWh. The total cost of the project was $1.8 Million.
