Entrance to the church is through a gate in the fence which was erected in 1955 'To The Memory of Maud Hall'.
St Mark’s Lutheran Church is an old stone building constructed in 1870 in Wellsford Street, in the picturesque rural and former gold-mining town of Yackandandah. The first Lutheran worship service was conducted at St Mark’s in what was the former Methodist church, on the eighth of October, 1935.
Currently there exists at St Mark’s, a communicant membership of 21. As part of the Wodonga Parish, St Mark’s celebrates Holy Communion at 8.30am, every Sunday. All visitors are welcome.
I couldn't find any history of 'Maud Hall' except for one entry under Yackandandah which read 'Sarah Maud Hall wed 1893 in Tasmania to Charles Nathan Jacobson'. While the date seems to be a reasonable fit I would expect that particular 'Maud Hall' to be referred to as 'Maud Jacobson'.
