A bell, cast by the Meneely Company of West Troy, NY in 1897, is suspended above a brick and concrete platform that contains a central plaque explaining the dedication which is flanked by four smaller plaques with the names former Chicopee firefighters.
The central plaque is inscribed:

WHO HAVE ANSWERED THEIR LAST ALARM
