Lancrigg gardens are open to the public with an information board at the entrance. There are 2 redwoods in the grounds. Both described on the sign.

As you walk up to Lancrigg this giant tree is beside the inner entrance. The best view is from the lawn. The tree is also viewable from the bridleway thoroughfare below Lancrigg. Whilst there find the Coast Redwood. William Wordsworth walked through these woods.

Parking in Grasmere can be a problem. Park near the coordinates. Visitors may use the middle and lower car parks by kind permission of the owners of Lancrigg hotel. lancrigg.co.uk
