Vermont Street in the Potrero Hill district is one of San Francisco's most twisty, turning car road with five 180 degree turns and two 90 degree turns entering and exiting. A paved concrete stairway serves as a sidewalk up the hill in front of the facing houses. The stairway rises about a 60 foot rise from the bottom where the coordinates are specified. The street is one-way down and the coordinates at the top are N37 45.532 , W122 24.232.
Access from nearby US HiWay 101 is from the Vermont Street exit. Turn right to go up the hill and park near McKinley Square Park. The stairway and crooked street begin near the south edge of the park.
