The park has a few benches and a green area. A plaque at the site reads: "A.F. Andy Anderson, a member of Fremont's first planning commission, died on June 9, 1994. He was instrumental in the creation and adoption of Fremont's first general plan and its first zoning and subdivision ordinances. Fondly known among his commission members as Target Date Andy fotr his resolve in promptly establishing development guidelines. His legacy includes the successful championing of the then new concept of underground utility lines. Supporting the general plan concept of a Paseo Padre Parkway joining all of the town, making up the new city of Fremont. A key member of the Irvington Business District and a leader in the restoration pf the Irivington Plaza Park. He consistently supported the general welfare of his community and its residents..."
