This is a rare surviving example of a large Chicago & Northwestern depot. Most smaller towns along the route had one of Chicago & Northwestern's "standard" depot designs. Larger cities had larger depots, like this one.

This Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Depot was built in 1916 at 182 Forest Avenue in Fond du Lac, WI. It was placed on the United States National Register of Historical Places on August 10, 1990 (#90001232). The Architect was Charles Sumner Frost and the Architectural style is Victorian: Romanesque.
The Building is being used to repair and store antiques. The owners repair and sell antiques such as electric radios and other equipment plus glass ware.
