KUNST VON MAX WEILER AM BAHNHOF INNSBRUCK
1954 erhielt Max Weiler den Auftrag, zwei Wandbilder in der
im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten und wiederaufgebauten Innsbrucker
Bahnhofshalle auszuführen. Das Bild an der Nordwand wurde vom
Künstler 1954 gefertigt und stellt die Geschichte der Stadt Innsbruck
mit Kaiser Maximilian, dem "Goldenen Dachl" und Tiroler
Freiheitskämpfern dar.
Obgleich diese Arbeiten von Max Weiler zur damaligen Zeit von
massiven öffentlichen Protesten begleitet wurden, verteidigten die
ÖBB-Verantwortlichen die Weiler Werke am Innsbrucker Hauptbahnhof.
Heute stellen die Wandmalereien einen wichtigen Aspekt im Lebenswerk
des berühmten Künstlers Max Weiler dar.

ART OF MAX WEILER AT THE STATION INNSBRUCK
1954 Max Weiler was commissioned two murals in the
destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in Innsbruck
Concourse run. The picture on the north wall was the
